This study shows that nearly half of the respondents chose "free market" as the main reason for Hong Kongˇ¦s economic success. Inflation and cost of housing were specifically cited as Hong Kongˇ¦s most pressing economic problems. Salary and benefits are clearly the major concerns of the young in choosing jobs. Most respondentsˇ¦ preferred business are for commercial work or sales. Some wanted to work in private firms or to be their own boss.
